At ICH, we have developed our short programs, achievable in as few as 7-9 months, to prepare students for these in-demand healthcare careers. Our short programs are designed to provide students with the exact skills and knowledge they need in as short an amount of time as possible – so graduates can get to work sooner! Programs are offered in a hybrid-online format, so that students may complete much of their coursework online, while attending on-campus labs for hands-on skills development. Under the guidance of professional faculty, students receive personalized instruction and individualized attention. Every student is provided with the guidance and support they need in order to be successful.
ICH’s Medical Assisting program is achievable in as few as 27 weeks and is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions as a Medical Assistant in either a clinical and/or administrative capacity. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience in an externship, students learn how to complete administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Graduates of the MA program earn a Diploma in Medical Assisting.
The Medical Insurance Coding and Billing Specialist is achievable in as few as 35 weeks and is designed to prepare students for entry level positions in a hospital, medical or dental office, and medical insurance/billing companies. Students learn the knowledge and skills competencies to accurately organize and maintain patient medical records and prepare various health claim forms using medical billing software. Upon completion of the program, graduates of the Medical Insurance Coding and Billing program receive CPR and First Aid Certification from American Red Cross and a Diploma in Medical Insurance Coding and Billing Specialist.
