ICH offers short programs that are focused, concise, and designed to provide you with the precise skills and knowledge you need to be successful in your new career. With ICH’s short programs, you can train to be a Medical Assistant or Medical Insurance Coding and Billing Specialist in less than a year! Medical Assisting

ICH’s Medical Assisting program is achievable in as few as 27 weeks and is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions as a Medical Assistant in either a clinical and/or administrative capacity. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on experience in an externship, students learn how to complete administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. Graduates of the MA program earn a Certificate of Completion, Diploma in Medical Assisting. 

Medical Insurance Coding and Billing

The Medical Insurance Coding and Billing Specialist program is achievable in as few as 35 weeks and is designed to prepare students for entry level positions in a hospital, medical or dental office, and medical insurance/billing companies. Students learn the knowledge and skills competencies to accurately organize and maintain patient medical records and prepare various health claim forms using medical billing software. Upon completion of the program, graduates of the Medical Insurance Coding and Billing program receive CPR and First Aid Certification from American Red Cross and a Certificate of Completion, Diploma in Medical Insurance Coding and Billing Specialist. 

     At ICH, our short programs have been created to provide students with the exact skills and knowledge they need in as short an amount of time as possible – so graduates can get to work sooner! Programs are offered in a hybrid-online format, so that students may complete much of their coursework online, while attending on-campus labs for hands-on skills development. Under the guidance of professional faculty, students receive personalized instruction and individualized attention. Every student is provided with the guidance and support they need in order to be successful. 

     ICH offers a wide range of student support and career placement services to help you take that next step towards a better future. Our friendly and helpful Admissions Representatives can help you choose which program is right for you, and even help you enroll and register for courses. ICH’s Financial Aid Office will assist you in applying for any financial aid programs for which you are eligible, and can provide assistance with completing and submitting a Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Career Services department provides students with a wide range of career support services, including resume writing assistance, job searching and networking, interviewing skills, and comprehensive job placement assistance. With ICH’s student support, financial aid, and career placement services, you will be supported every step of the way.
