This course will qualify the EMT-Basic Certified student to obtain 4 continuing education units for the continuous renewal of the EMT- Basic recertification required by the County of Los Angeles EMS Agency and the State of California. CA EMS CE PROVIDER #19-0726.
Trauma 4 CE hrs: Reviews the cardiovascular system Emergency medical care, including Trauma & Medical Assessments; Bag Valve-Mask Ventilation; Cardiac Arrest Management w/AED; Hemorrhage Control & Shock Management; Spinal Restriction: Supine & Seated; the use of cervical immobilization devices and short and long backboards. Penetrating Chest Injury; Epinephrine & Naloxone Administration and Childbirth & Neonatal Resuscitation. Reviews all skills required for the California EMT skills competency verification. Upon demonstration of mandatory skills, Instructor will sign off on Skills Verification Form required for EMT recertification.
Objectives available upon request. Continuing education is approved by the Los Angeles County EMS Agency and excluded from the institutional grant of accreditation by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
All CE Courses provided are instructor-based. Upcoming classes will be held at Integrity College of Health at 1460 N Lake Avenue, Suite 102.
