Director of Staff Development


The Director of Staff Development is responsible for the planning, implementation, direction and evaluation of the facility’s educational programs for all employees and quality assurance and improvement in the facility.

Prerequisites: Copy of LVN or RN License

Course Fee: Tuition is $350.00 plus a non-refundable registration fee is required total amount is $375.00

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course the nurse will be able to write a lesson plan for an educational program in nursing that contains the following information

  • Student Behavioral Objectives
  • Descriptive Course Content
  • Method of Teaching & Method of Evaluating Knowledge

This course is in planning, implementing & evaluating educational programs in nursing. This course provides information on:

  • Certified Nurse Assistant training Regulations

  • CNA training Federal Regulations
  • California Department of Public Health
  • Scope of practice
  • Delegation & Assignment Skills
  • Functions performed by unlicensed personnel
  • How to write a nurse assistant training program daily  schedule
  • Duties of the Director of Staff Development
  • Principles of Teaching Adult Learners
  • Planning, implementing & evaluating educational programs in nursing
  • How to write a lesson plan that meets the requirements in the California Code of Regulations
  • How to write a 12 month in-service training calendar for certified nursing assistants that meets state & federal regulatory agency requirements
